About the Program

The Postgraduate Program in Public Health at the National School of Public Health Sergio Arouca (PPGSP) is characterized by tradition, leadership, and innovation. It is one of the oldest and most well-established programs in the field of Collective Health in the country.

Its general objective is to train professionals in Collective Health, based on interdisciplinary knowledge, for research, teaching, and work in health, education, and science and technology systems. The program fosters a critical understanding of the following key areas: the complexity of health-disease processes and health care; the relationship between the State and society in the development of public health policies; and the organization and functioning of health systems, services, and practices.

Offers master's and doctoral courses.
