About the Master's Program
The master's program at PPGSP aims to train professionals in the development of scientific knowledge, enabling them to engage in teaching activities as well as develop skills for conducting scientific research in the field of Public Health. The training is structured according to areas of concentration, which are currently undergoing a restructuring process.
Master's students are required to take mandatory courses from both the Program and their concentration areas, in addition to other core and elective courses. These are chosen by the student and their advisor, depending on their training needs and research topic.
The areas of concentration have an interdisciplinary nature and offer a diverse range of research lines and topics. They provide guiding principles for student training, organizing the offer of mandatory, core, and elective courses. This ensures better articulation and coherence in the academic trajectory within the Program.
The available master's program spots at PPGSP are filled through a competitive selection process held annually. Spots are allocated according to the areas of concentration, and successful candidates are integrated into their advisor's research area/line.
